This is the perfect tool to help pry open the covers of the map lights to replace the bulbs. It doesn't damage the plastic, because it's plastic. It is stiff, with just a hint of ability to bend, giving the leverage you need to pry off the covers. It was invaluable to change out all the interior bulbs in my Honda HRV.
