This is a very nice microphone left to itself but I am taking 2 stars off because by design it is NOT a and can not be made a STEREO Microphone. This microphone should include the means to deliver stereo functionality even if it costs a few extra dollars to do so. In my case I have a camcorder with one boom microphone in jack that picks up in full stereo. When I plug this microphone into the single stereo jack all I get is mono yuck. I suggest their should be an in box stereo option for this otherwise awesome microphone. Yes I know with a simple adapter stereo output can be achieved with this microphone. I suggest one should not have to buy a separate device to mimic stereo performance it should a stereo option should come with the this otherwise great microphone.Other than its lack of native stereo functionality this Microphone is fantastic for just speaking in normal tones. The sound quality is rich and full. The sound of my voice is not tinny, nasal or distant There is no inherent buzz, whine or hum when using this microphone. The microphone on off feature is great and works as intended. The switch mechanism feels slightly cheap but given the LOW price point of this microphone, I can't take a star off for it. The microphone has a molded plastic housing with a metal mesh work head. The microphone is light weight and their is little to no metal in its general construction. The cable is built into the back of the microphone and does not disconnect at the rear like more expensive units do. Issue if that rear connection goes wrong its likely curtains for this unit. This microphone is NOT expensive so the build quality is basically acceptable but overall is not a first rate unit. The microphone is not cheap and flimsy. The microphone feels solid in your hand. The Audio-Technica ATR-1100 Unidirectional Dynamic Vocal/Instrument Microphone has a cord long enough for most normal uses. The cord appears thick and durable. Talking into this microphone is fine in an otherwise quiet room with few if any competing sounds. The use of this microphone in environments with additional sound producing equipment like speakers appears to degrade. I am using this microphone to make a video record of autism related subject matter in a very quiet home environment so my use does not include recording singing or great performance noisy venues. I say this so you know what my review covers.I'm quite surprised at the quality of this mic for such a low price. I've used it on some professional gigs and they're easy to work with. They can sound a bit hot at times...but that can be squelched with the proper audio mixers and equalizers. You can use these for simply projects such as voice overs or just band jams. For the price you can't expect it to be some perfect professional microphone. But if you are on a budget and you don't need anything fancy this could work great for you. Depending on what you are hooking it up to it may be extremely quiet. I mean Extremely Quiet! Almost to the point that you can't hear anything. But fear not. If this is the case you use a laptop as an amplifier. The sound setting in windows allows you to do this. You may need to google how exactly to do this because its a bit different depending on the version of windows you have. But you plug the mic in the mic port, the speakers (or speaker system) in their port, adjust the settings correctly and you are ready to roll. The downside with using the laptop as an amplifier is that there is a short delay between when the speaker speaks and when you hear it over the speakers. This delay is unavoidable because of it having to convert the sound from analog to digital. It is only a few milliseconds but it is a little weird when you first start talking into the mic. I used this mic to DJ at my brothers wedding reception. I had it connected to sound system with 11 speakers and 2 sub-woofers. If I were a professional DJ I'd have sprung for something more fancy. But since it was a one time thing I didn't want to break the bank and this worked just fine.I purchased this wired mike because my wireless PA receiver is a little flakey (it cuts out after a few minutes of use). I have not experienced any problem with the PA using this wired mike, however. This mike is accurate and distortion free as long as you hold it at the proper distance from your mouth. A little experimentation will help you find the right distance for you. If you're soft-spoken you'll need to hold it a little closer. My PA system is susceptible to feedback if you hold the mike too close to the speaker. But this is common to most, if not all, microphones. The 15-foot cord is a good length, allowing you to put some separation between mike and speaker. It's not as convenient or as flexible as the cordless mike, but at least it's reliable. My only quibble, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the 1/4" jack seems a little loose in the socket on the PA. Perhaps I should blame this on the Hisonic, since a 1/4" jack is, by definition, 1/4" in diameter and rigid. But the mike cord also bayonets into the microphone, and this fitting is a little loose, too. So I'll stick by my 4-start rating.its okSe the full YouTube review in channel INTERESTING BABA. This a dianamic mic with doesn't require any Phantom power I got it shipped in one day. I got a 6.3 mm to 3.5 mm adapter to use it with my PC and the only thing I had to do is to boost the playback audio by the mic . Go to recording devices and go to the properties of this mic and boost the audio of the mic..I have used this mic in my studio. Very good quality sound reproductions by various instrument like flute, tabla, dholak, guitar etc. Recommend it to anyone with pro level or enthausiastic musician, singer. Ignore the bad reviews from those who do not know anything about sound, music or mic.Works out of the box with a Windows 10 PC, using a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter.Sound quality is really good, and there is literally no noise.I had to update my Realtek sound drivers to get it working well, though. I was getting a lot of static noise, and the update fixed it.I really like it very much. When you hold it in your hands you can feel the quality of the product and It sound very good but the on-off switch not working after a year. Now it is always on. No idea if there's any authorized customer service station who can fix it.
