I bought this for a self built solar generator. I have three such DC circuit breakers in this system. One however, tripped and would not reset anymore. I cannot figure out why it tripped at all as the system is only for up to 1000 watts at 24V., so it never saw more than 35A at full draw. I decided to replace it with this Erayco 50 Amp breaker. Before installing it, I tested it out at least 20 times. With 2/0 welding cable, I pushed 40, 50 and 60 A through the breaker, and it functioned perfectly. Even at 50A, it held for over ten minutes without tripping. At 60A, it held for about 15 seconds before tripping. Reset was possible after a short cool down period.I feel confident in the breaker and installed it. It will never see 50A of current, but I know that if there is a runaway for some reason, it will trip and protect my system. it gets 5 stars for doing its job well.
