This is a Class 1 Bluetooth device and can achieve up to 100ft (30m) in open air line-of-sight conditions.TWS earbuds and other small, compact devices often have miniaturized internal antennae which can impact the overall range.In general, operation range can be affected by physical obstructions (walls, people, etc.), wireless interference (Wi-Fi routers, Wireless TV adapters etc.) as well as the reception of the receiving device.Single link connections have better range when compared to dual link connections. Q2: My TV speakers go silent (become muted) when I use the Avantree Bluetooth transmitter. Can I make them work simultaneously while using the transmitter? This is a TV feature and its availability depends on your TV make and model. For many models of TV, the built-in speakers might not work if you choose to use an external speaker. They will either automatically mute when you plug something into an audio output port (AUX, RCA, Optical, etc.) or they become disabled once you choose "External Speakers" as your TV's audio output. Some newer TVs however, allow you to play audio from both the TV's internal speakers and an external audio device simultaneously. For example the newer LG TVs with WebOS versions 3.0 and 3.5 have this feature but Samsung TVs still do not. In the LG TV WebOS 3.0 / 3.5 example, you can enable this feature by changing the TV AUDIO OUT setting from "Internal TV Speaker" to “Internal TV Speaker + Optical”. Now all audio will simultaneously come from both your TV's speakers and the device connected to the digital optical audio output port. If your TV does not support this feature, then you can consider the Avantree Oasis Plus + Audition Pro and an external speaker. Q3: My TV is fixed on the wall, it is difficult to set up cable. Will this play audio coming from my TV box (e.g. Roku) that is connected to my TV via hdmi? A: Yes. This transmitter doesn’t support HDMI jack. But you can purchase an additional Avantree HDMI audio extractor HAX03 to solve it. It does just what I needed it to do...or so I thought.Turns out I'm an idiot and haven't paired headphones in so long I forgot how to so I thought my Samsung TV would only paid to Samsung headphones.So I bought this lol.Turns out I don't actually need it but instead of returning it amd getting my $50 back I'm keeping it and I'll tell you why.First of all pairing headphones to it is extremely easy.It supports two pairs at once just like my tv does so that's cool.But the real reason I'm keeping it is twofold.Number one it supports more codes than my tv does. I tested it using my Sony XM3 using SBC, aptX, and LL.Second reason I'm keeping it, which is by far the biggest reason, is it most definitely boosts volume over what I'd normally get from the optical connection.I just use the buttons on the headphones to control the volume.It's a beautiful thing and to me is most definitely worth the money.I have mine hooked up to a remote control power outlet so I can turn it on only when I want it on instead of using the tv usb that would power it all the time.I just switch my tv to optical, turn on the remote control power switch to turn this unit on, turn on my headphones and it just connects.I have 5 different pairs of Bluetooth headphones and so far I've hooked up the 2 I really wanted which is the Sony XM3's and Skullcandy Crusher Evo's and man the Evo's sound the best and get the loudest even over my Sony's.Pairing the Samsung Buds Pro2 and 3 is a bit more difficult bc the TV grabs that Bluetooth signal over everything else so I have to pair to this unit with another device and keeping the tv off so it won't steal the Bluetooth connection.Man if it makes those 2 ear buds louder like it does these 2 that will be CRAZY bc they already sound so good.I'll do that when I get around to it.For now this little Bluetooth transmitter is awesome.It's literally the only one I could find that boosts the volume using the optical input unless I was looking to spend far over $100.This things so great I even bought the 3 year extended warranty for $7 which i mever do but just in case lol.I usually buy 2 or 3 of things I really like but not on a $50 device w an extended warranty lol.It sounds really good to my ears and I haven't experienced even the slightest bit of audio lag.The sync seems to be right on time and I'm using the SBC codec at the moment.Aptx is even better!Sweet little box I really like it!
